
Recently, the 2025 Morocco International Mining Conference was held in Marrakesh under the theme of promoting deeper integration between Africa’s mining sector and the international market. The event was attended by Morocco’s Minister of Energy, Minister of Industry and Trade, as well as industry experts, scholars, and corporate representatives. COBCO made its debut at the conference, showcasing the project’s steady progress and reaffirming the company’s commitment to expanding its presence in international markets, supporting the development of Morocco’s new energy industry, and delivering sustainable development solutions to its clients.
Mr. Jay Yang, Chairman of the Board of COBCO, was invited to participate in the roundtable forum titled “African Mining on the Global Stage: Focus on the Continent and South-South Cooperation.” During the forum, he engaged in in-depth discussions with industry leaders from Morocco and international organizations on the development trends of Africa’s mining sector. He shared the successful experiences in promoting regional cooperation and industrial upgrading, highlighting a case study on the company’s collaboration with the Moroccan government to enhance R&D capabilities across the value chain. Mr. Allen Luo, CEO of COBCO, delivered a keynote speech in which he provided a detailed overview of COBCO’s strategic layout in Morocco, its advanced product offerings, and its comprehensive technological roadmap. He shared COBCO’s sustainability measures and practices implemented throughout the construction process, highlighting its core competitive advantages. A dynamic video presentation was used to showcase each major milestone of the company, vividly illustrating the progress made. Ms. Sophie Lyu, Senior Director of Sustainability and Communications of COBCO, participated in the panel discussion “Towards Responsible Mining: Exploring Innovative Models that Balance Performance, Sustainability, and Positive Impact.” She emphasized the critical role of recycling in the electric vehicle value chain and shared COBCO’s sustainability practices, particularly the company’s efforts in optimizing energy and material efficiency throughout the production process. Her insights drew significant attention and received widespread recognition from participants.
